Adapted from Snow-flakes: a chapter from the book of nature, published by the American Tract Society in 1863. Author Israel Perkins Warren’s intention, according to the preface, was to elicit ‘sentiments of admiration and reverence’ in this ‘interesting department of the Creator’s works’.
