Adapted from a woodblock print by Kan’en Iwasaki (1786–1842) from Honzo Zufuor Illustrated Guide to Medicinal Plants (1884). The work was first published in 1830 with over 1,900 varieties of plants and is regarded as the first comprehensive botanical art book in Japan.
